I am 4 days out from the marathon and I feel ready to go. I ran an easy 3.5 miles this afternoon and about 8:20/mile pace. I'm just trying to keep the legs loose at this point. I need to try and increase the sleep and water intake. We'll see how that works out over the next few days.
I spent some time today trying to find some song options for the video I am going to shoot of the marathon. I listened to about 40 songs today, still not sure. I guess when I see the video coming together, I'll get a song match.
Thursday, I head into NYC for the Expo at the Jacob Javitz Center. It's an easy trip in as I will drive to Weehawken, take the ferry over the river, and walk a block from the terminal on the other side to the Javitz. The weather should be good, so the ferry and the walking about should be nice. I have some specific ideas about the expo this year as I want to touch base with the Zensah people as an ambassador, as well as a couple other brands I want to get together with. Last year, I had a great time ther, but I didn't connect my blog/site to anyone. This year, I am hoping to connect with some people.
Over the next couple days, I am going to run a couple more small jogs as well as get some walking in. I'm not trying to win the race, but I do want to enjoy it and finish. I do need to do a little more practice time with the GoPro. I am going to bring it to the Expo and shoot some video and maybe do like a 30 second to a minute highlight video.
