I ran for 5 miles today and I decided to wear my Gel DS Racers to change it up a bit. I haven't worn them in awhile and I do like running in a lighter shoe. The Racer is my ideal shoe. It's light, fast, a little bit of cushion, but barely, and they feel fast. It was obvious right from the start that I was going to run faster than I had in weeks. Here are the splits:

Negative split each mile, finished 5 miles in 34:27. That leaves my pace at a nice 6:53/mile. The rest of the week, I am going to slow it down and recover, a couple easy 5 milers. Twenty-Five days until the marathon, and it feels like it is coming on light a freight train. A good freight train though :)
