It's been a little while since I ran or posted anything of real significance. I offer no apologies though, as my kids have been through the sickness ringer over the last 2 weeks, highlighted by a 4 night stay at Valley Hospital for my 2 1/2 month old. The all inclusive stay at Valley was required by a nice bout of RSV, that made it quite difficult at times, for him to breath well. Now that the RSV, the Strep, and the bad cold seem to be headed out the door for TJ and his siblings, I can get back out and run my ass off. Literally. I have about 11 weeks and 10-15 lbs. to lose before the Franklin Lakes Triathlon. Cue the yogurt and tuna lunch today.
It always feels good to be back running after a few days off. The body feels fresh and you remember why you enjoy running so much. Sometimes, during the throws of training, the fun can seem far away. I was happy to be running for my roughly 6.5 miler today, in about an hour. The only bad part, was that it was indoors because of the rain and cold. It did give me a lot of time to mull over some topics, and content I want to expound upon soon.
In the coming weeks, I hope to add some new elements to my blog, as well as begin to reach even more people. More on that in the future.
