03/14/2016 The only workout you regret is the one you skipped

I've mentioned it before, and it is an often heard phrase in athletics, sports.  The only workout you regret is the one you skip.  Today is a great example of that for me.  The weather here is crappy.  It's low 40's, rainy, windy, gross.  It is perfect weather for a Monday and horrible weather for me to run in.  I was leaning 60/40 towards running inside today to stay in the warm, dry comfort of inside.  However, I did peak outside just before getting ready to run and I noticed it was not raining out.  I decided to suck it up and get out there before it started to come down.

It didn't take me 10 steps before I was already happy I made the choice to go out rather than run around that tiny gym for and hour.  Once I got about a half mile in, I was warmed up and didn't even feel the gross conditions.

My 5 miler looked like this:
1
8:57--8'57"/MI
2
17:11- 0:43 (8%)8'14"/MI
3
25:33+ 0:08 (-2%)8'22"/MI
4
MISSING KEY: ACTIVITY_RUNNING_DETAILS_MODULES_RUN_36
33:25- 0:30 (5%)7'52"/MI
5
41:42+ 0:25 (-6%)8'17"/MI
Nothing special, just a few miles to start the week.  After warming up in the first mile, I cruised right along comfortably.  I contemplated going for 6 miles today, but decided against it because I want to do 10 miles tomorrow, and I want to add some pickups during the run to make it a stronger workout.  Today, 5 miles were the right amount for me.
