11/04/2015 A quick run as a checkpoint

Just as a check in with the body post marathon, I ran a 3 mile run this afternoon.  I was pleasantly surprised with how the body felt and I was into it from the start.  I ran three miles progressively faster.  The per mile times were 8:49, 8:16, 7:48.  The best part really though was that I didn't feel sluggish at all.  I expected to feel a little slow coming off the race, but not so.  In the coming days, I will formulate an early 2016 race calendar and see what I want to set my training to look like.  For right now, my focus is on continuing to run and committing to running throughout the winter.
