10/02/2015 Trying to get some miles in

Coming off two days of rest after my 16 miler, I felt pretty good.  I hadn't planned on taking two days off after the long run, but sometimes, you run out of time.  Regardless, I didn't have a lot of time today, so I squeezed in a fast 5 miler.  It took me about 40 minutes and I felt good the whole time.

I did, however, run inside due to the rain and cold weather.  I just didn't have the clothing to be outside in these elements so I stayed in.  Last winter, I was relegated to inside running quite a bit.  It sucked.  Today, it sucked as well.  I need to get a solid set of clothing picked out ahead of time and deal with the weather.  This weekend is busy, but I hope to get out for 6-8 miles tomorrow afternoon if time and commitments allow.  

Sunday, I want to hop on the bike and cross train for some more cardio, but off my feet. 

This weekend, I will be posting my preliminary checklist for my marathon preparedness.  I have been looking at a lot of blogs/sites and getting some great advice from people that have run NYC before.  I have to admit, I am getting more excited by the day.
