Well, as expected, I am a bit sore from yesterday's performance class at Rise Fitness. Luckily, it is a healthy sore and no glaring pains or issues. Hey, you never know, I am 40 years old.
Today, a good 6-6.5 mile run stretches out the body and gets the heart rate going. I find that the more I add in the variety of workouts like the class or the circuit I did last Wednesday, the more fresh I feel and less stale. Yesterday kicked my ass, today I laced up and felt good doing a run. A little variety keeps it moving and allows the body to stay healthier.
On a side note, the lottery for the NYC Marathon opens this week. I am hoping I get in. In addition to that and the Memorial Day Run, I need to pick a couple more events for the year. I am hoping that 2015 is a big year of racing successfully for me. My goal is to do 3-5 races and really do well in a couple and simply enjoy a couple as well. Time to look up some race calendars.
