All I care about really is trying to eat a lot of good things for me. I am not so concerned with eating number 1 instead of number 14 or passing on number 26 because I can eat number 3. I look forward to focusing on the ones on the list that I like and trying some of the ones I have never had.
As far as I'm concerned, #22 and #39, scallions and leeks aren't happening. See what you find on the list you like and explore ways to incorporate them often.
I finished up a 5 mile run about 20 minutes ago and I am still actively sweating my a#! off. I am not complaining, but wow its hot and humid out.
I ran about 8:38/mile pace, finishing up in about 43:30 for the 5 miles. It felt like about a 15 mile run.
I am glad to have gotten out now 2 days in a row though. I feel like I am headed in the right direction and am continuing to build.
As the fall racing season begins to ramp up, I look forward to a race or two and would love to have a guest blogger or two do a race report of their own. I already have one or two people in mind, but I will wait until after I ask them in they are interested. Let me know if you would like to write something up about a race.

Back to school for the 2014-2015 school year and back to my routine. I guess it is true for most people, but I need a routine to maximize my efficiency.
The summer was awesome! The DePersis family swam, biked, vacationed, and pretty much rocked this summer (I ate more ice cream this summer than in the last 10 summers combined, no joke).
That being said, in order to regain my optimal waistline, I needed to get back to my work routine and my working out schedule. What better way to do so than by starting right up first day with a nice 4 miler. I got out this afternoon and was able to run a solid 8:30/mile pace and literally finished at 34 minutes on the dot. Not that this was my intent, but it was my comfortable pace.
Tomorrow, back at it and I will be adding some additional workouts like jump rope and some interval training with weights, kettles, stability ball, etc.
