08/04/2014 PM Bike workout

Tonight, I felt like getting in a workout.  I hit the stationary bike for a 30 minute high speed spin.  As always, I used no tension and kept it to high speed the whole time.  If you haven't read any of my posts about the bike or simply forget, I keep the tension completely off because it can be hard on the knees.  Also, high speed spin has shown to clear lactate and other toxins from muscles.


It is time to start getting back into running/fitness now that I have had a little break.  I am looking forward to doing some beach running and some runs by the ocean in Cape Cod soon.  A change of scenery sounds great and I am going to look to log some serious miles over the next 2 months.  

Now that I am past the Running with the Devil, I am looking forward to stretching some long runs.  I have not been past about 12.5 miles (besides the race) in a run in awhile.  Sometimes, simply running 15 or 16 miles, no matter the pace, just does wonders for your confidence and your fitness.
