For the first time in a week and a couple days, I went for a run. It was a 3.4 mile run and I meant for it to simply be a jog to stretch out the legs and just enjoy not being sore from the Running with the Devil.
After the first mile. I just fell into a solid rhythm and ended up finishing the 3.4 mile in about 25:30. That's a pretty good clip and I felt great. The legs are fresh and it was fun to be out there again.
On a side note, after destroying myself on that mountain, the rolling hills of my run seemed inconsequential. My leg turnover and strength were unaffected by the hills, just like last year.
I look forward to ramping up my fitness and my speed to see what I can do this fall.
